The Independent Pharmacy Awards will shine a light on the brilliant work of community pharmacy teams across the UK when the event returns to the House of Commons in September…

Don’t miss the opportunity to enter the most prestigious awards event in the pharmacy calendar.
The UK’s political corridors of power will once again provide the setting for the Independent Pharmacy Awards on Friday, September 29 – which draws the biggest names in the community pharmacy sector and the world of politics.
The event has come a long way since it started out at The Waldorf Hotel over a decade ago.
The Awards are now presented in the Member’s Dining Room at the House of Commons.
The event has always attracted the who’s who in community pharmacy as well as leading figures from the wider NHS and executives from the pharmaceutical industry – and this year promises to be no different. Of course, the event would not be complete without the finalists – independent community pharmacists and their teams who provide vitally important support to their local communities.
Entries come from single-site pharmacies, multiple independents and local pharmaceutical committees, and are judged by our team of experts, handpicked by Independent Community Pharmacist’s editorial team.  The location apart, the event is a fantastic opportunity to network with the sector’s movers and shakers – the guest list reads like the A list of community pharmacy.
The Independent Pharmacy Awards enjoys active support from all the key pharmacy organisations, local pharmaceutical committees, government bodies and trade associations.
In recognition of how the Awards have evolved, the four home countries rotate annually to present a ‘state of the nation’ address at the Awards ceremony. The speaker is either the chief pharmaceutical officer or the head of the national negotiating body.
This year it will be Cathy Harrison, the Chief Pharmaceutical Officer for Northern Ireland who will address the gathering.

Be in it to win it!

The 2023 Independent Pharmacy Awards is an event not to be missed. This year there are six categories open for entries.
