CPE resources to raise awareness among the public include posters, social media assets and animations to promote the service to patients. A link on the CPE Pharmacy First website page (https://cpe.org.uk/national-pharmacy-services/advanced-services/pharmacy-first-service/) allows pharmacies to download the various assets. These include:4

  • ·       animations

  • ·       editable posters and social media cards

  • ·       posters

  • ·       social media content

  • ·       video and digital screen graphics

  • ·       small flyers about Pharmacy First

  • ·       a template local press release for Pharmacy First

The animations include a 2-minute overview of the Pharmacy First service. A subtitled version is available, and the video is also available split into two 1-minute versions, with one outlining the service and how it works and the other describing the value of the service. These can be used in social media or in pharmacy or general practice video displays.

A series of.png files can be used along with suggested content in social media with suggested text available for shorter and longer tweets or posts.

The editable posters show a range of different pharmacist/customer interactions with a box that can be edited for the pharmacy details and can be used to promote the six or seven conditions that the pharmacy can assist with (earache in children not being available for distance selling pharmacies).

Two half-minute videos (.mp4 files) and digital screen graphics list the conditions available for treatment in Pharmacy First. Social media cards are also available mentioning the individual conditions and patient suitability.

The range of posters covers external and in-pharmacy promotion and are available as .png and .pdf files which are more suitable for printing.
