Operational hours
The PFS has to be available throughout the pharmacy’s full opening hours, core and supplementary.5
If the pharmacy needs to withdrew the service temporarily, the contractor must inform the NHS Directory of Services (DoS) Provider and Commissioner Helpline (0300 0200 363), GP practices and Urgent and Emergency Care (UEC) settings withing the local primary care network (PCN) to stop patient referrals, and also make the local commissioner aware (https://www.england.nhs.uk/primary-care/pharmacy/pharmacy-contract-teams/).
