Super furry animals

The pet population is booming yet industry data shows that pets are spending less time at the vets than they used to. Luckily there are plenty of charities and organisations out there for our animal friends. Scott Banks tracks down a few key websites and resources that pharmacy staff can recommend to pharmacy customers.

Blue Cross

Since 1897 the Blue Cross has been helping to care for sick, injured and homeless pets. The charity runs clinics across the country caring for over 40,000 animals. The Blue Cross provides more than just rehoming animals, it also provides clinical treatment for pets whose owners can’t afford it, as well as behavioural therapy and pet bereavement services.
