BLEPHARITIS

Blepharitis is a group of eye problems that all feature inflamed eyelid margins. It is a chronic condition that can develop at any age.

THE SYMPTOMS ARE:7

  • Eyelids that are sore, swollen or red-rimmed. The lashes may stick together
  • Crusty or greasy eyelashes
  • There may be a burning or gritty sensation in the eye
  • Contact lenses may be uncomfortable to wear

In most cases, both eyes are affected and the symptoms tend to be worse in the morning.
