Scope forms charitable partnership with ChildVision

Scope, a leading supplier of ocular surface disease products, has formed a charitable partnership with ChildVision, Ireland’s only dedicated centre providing education and therapy to blind and multi-disabled children.

Staff, colleagues and customers from Scope raised €12,500 through a charity golf tournament, a sum that was matched by the business to produce a total a donation of €25,000.

Presented to Brian Allen, chief executive officer of ChildVision at the ChildVision campus in Dublin, the donation will be used to fund the charity’s work helping hundreds of children. Some of the programmes benefitting from Scope’s donation are clinical psychological services, support for early intervention, therapies and nursing and residential services.

“We are very proud to be associated with Scope. They have visited the campus, seen the need and responded so generously. We look forward to a long partnership with the team who are also working every day to improve eye care,” Allen said.

The donation will help ChildVision provide clinical psychologist input to children and their families.

“We are proud to be partnering with ChildVision this year,” said Amie Hynes-Fitzpatrick, corporate social responsibility lead at scope.

“We are committed to championing children’s rights, with a specific focus on blindness and partially-sighted children. The work that ChildVision does is innovative, healthcare professional-led, and dedicated to improving the lives of children and their families. These are values that align closely to Scope’s ethos.”
