Pharmacy Research UK is accepting applications from pharmacists for its personal research awards and research training bursaries and its clinical pharmacy research grant. The personal research awards and research training bursaries provide funding for novice and early-career researchers.
This funding is intended to support a 'research active' pharmacy profession that can underpin the development of a strong evidence base to inform pharmacy's contribution to patient benefit and public health. Previous recipients have undertaken research in areas such as public health, health economics, organisational psychology and OTC prescribing. Closing date for the personal research awards is May 4 and for the research training bursaries it is May 11.
In partnership with the UK Clinical Pharmacy Association, PRUK is also offering a research fund of up to £50,000 to support pharmacy practitioners take forward their research. The funding is primarily aimed at pharmacists who want to undertake research in their area of clinical practice, while further developing their research skills. While the quality of applications is of paramount importance, priority will be given to lead applicants for whom this would be their first project as a principal investigator.
Funds are available for projects between £5,000 and £50,000. The deadline for submitting a bid is May 11.
