DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH FUNDING ANNOUNCEMENT
The NPA has highlighted the incoherent thinking behind the DH decision to reduce the pharmacy budget starting from 1 December 2016. The Support Your Local Pharmacy campaign continues.
NO PHARMACY FUNDING CUTS PLANNED FOR WALES
An official communication from the Welsh government clarified the ‘importance of the community pharmacy network in Wales’ as it was confirmed cuts would not be made as in England.
NPA BOARD MEMBER APPOINTED PSNC VICE CHAIR

ALCOHOL MOT PILOT, NI
Fifteen pharmacies in the Belfast area have signed up to deliver an Alcohol MOT pilot service involving an initial screening and brief intervention, with onward referral to Addiction NI depending on risk identified. The pilot started end of October and will run for 6 months.
NPA CONFERENCE, SCOTLAND
