Survey launched to get pharmacies' views on IT
The PSNC has launched a survey on the views of community pharmacy teams on IT system capabilities within the sector and how they can be improved.
In the survey, the negotiator and the Community Pharmacy IT Group (CP ITG) ask questions including what PMR system pharmacies use and whether they share a premises with a GP practice, as well as questions around prescription volumes and the physical size of the dispensary space.
The PSNC said the survey is anonymous, with results to be shared with patient medication record system suppliers.
“This survey will help shape the IT priorities of the CP ITG and system suppliers. PSNC and the CP ITG would like to hear the views of all community pharmacy contractors,” the PSNC said.
It said it wanted to hear the views of “multiple group head offices who may complete the survey in relation to specific pharmacies” as well as community pharmacy teams.
