Memory loss is not always the first symptom of Alzheimer’s. Symptoms of some atypical Alzheimer’s sub-types can start with impairments such as:10
· logopenic aphasia –language ability;
· posterior cortical atrophy – affected vision and difficulty in working out relative positions of objects;
· frontal variant – behaviour and/or thinking;
· corticobasal syndrome – problems relating to movement, sensation, thinking, perception and/or language.
