A medical device alert has been issued by the Medicines & Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) for all healthcare workers who are responsible for patients using Accu-chek Insight insulin pumps.

Manufactured by Roche Diabetes Care, the alert warns that audible and/or vibration alarms might not function, which may lead to hyperglycaemia if the user doesn’t see the notification message on the pump.
