Pfizer supports meds optimisation

Pfizer has launched a medicines optimisation scratch card that is intended to increase patient engagement with the pharmacy team and create opportunities to engage patients with services such as MURs and NMS.

The postcard-sized scratch card contains five simple statements about medicines use. Patients scratch the card to indicate how strongly they agree or disagree with each statement, then return the card to a member of the pharmacy team who will interpret the responses and provide appropriate advice and guidance.

The card has been developed in consultation with the NPA and is supported by PSNC, the Royal Pharmaceutical Society and Pharmacy Voice. Posters and a campaign guide for pharmacies are available from www.accesspfizer.co.uk and from the professional associations’ websites.
