GPhC launches online peer discussion workshop

GPhC launches online peer discussion workshop

The General Pharmaceutical Council is to invite every pharmacist and pharmacy technician in Great Britain to join an online workshop taking place this month to share, discuss and identify the best approaches to peer discussion that they can use when reflecting on their practice.

Participants will be able to read, comment upon and rate the views of their peers and all contributions will be anonymised to ensure ideas are judged based on their merit rather than their author. The number of places in the online workshop is limited and access will be granted on a first-come first-serve basis.

Duncan Rudkin, chief executive of the GPhC, said: €Pharmacy professionals have told us that one of the most effective ways to improve their practice and the care they provide to patients is to reflect on their practice through peer discussion. We know there are a variety of approaches to peer discussion and we want to collectively build an understanding of when and how to use peer discussion that will benefit everyone.€

All GPhC registrants will receive an invitation via email to take part in the online workshop in the next few weeks.

The GPhC is working with Clever Together, which specialises in large-scale stakeholder engagement, to run this online workshop.
