Following the announcement of NHS England’s Stay Well campaign encouraging the public to use pharmacy as a first point of call for advice and treatment for minor health concerns, Numark is encouraging members to get involved.
Emma Charlesworth, Numark’s head of marketing said: “Any support we can provide to members to help them get behind campaigns such as this are crucial, we are passionate about the need for patients to recognise the value inherent in community pharmacy.â€
The company has developed a series of training modules for all members of staff from counter assistants to pharmacists designed to increase their knowledge and help them to provide advice on minor ailments to first time parents and carers.
Numark has also published a list of the bestselling children’s meds products and developed a series of baby and children’s health planograms to help members build a compelling fixture. Â
To further boost engagement, Numark has launched a competition where members can win £75 worth of Love2Shop vouchers for their pharmacy by sending in a photo of their Stay Well campaign displays and telling the company how they are supporting the initiative.
“We hope that NHS England continues to recognise community pharmacy and the role they play in public health and we will continue to support our members to get behind campaigns such as these by offering a range of support designed to help,†added Charlesworth.
