Well opens pharmacy in WH Smith at Gatwick

The pharmacy chain Well has launched a pharmacy inside a WH Smith store in Gatwick Airport’s north terminal.

Well said the 5,000 sq ft pharmacy does not offer NHS prescription services but had “a wide range” of pharmacy-only medicines and was licenced by the General Pharmaceutical Council.

“Having a pharmacy within WH Smith offers customers travelling through Gatwick a one stop shop solution ahead of their journey,” Jen Rann, head of commercial retail at Well, told ICP.

“The pharmacy counter is staffed by pharmacists and trained technicians and is overseen through existing Well Pharmacy infrastructure to best-in-class industry standard. It stocks a selection of medication, including our own brand range, Well Pharmaceuticals.

“The pharmacy does not offer NHS prescription services or fulfilment, but it is licensed by the General Pharmaceutical Council and stocks a wide range of P meds. Customers are also able to get quality health advice from our pharmacists within the Gatwick store.”
