GPhC chair visits Bedminster Pharmacy
Nigel Clarke, the chairman of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), paid a visit to Bedminster Pharmacy in Bristol to learn how the business empowers its staff to improve the public’s health.
Clarke sat in on a medicines use review consultation, with the patient’s consent, and spent time talking to the Bedminster team about their career journeys, hopes and aspirations.
Ade Williams, the owner of the pharmacy, said Clarke also spoke to his team about how the GPhC can help them deliver excellent care that is tailored to the individual patient and support them to be competent and safe practitioners.
Williams reported that Clarke “was particularly impressed by the role Ms Shirley Jamieson, our award-winning delivery lady, plays as part of the team. She is a key patient contact, pharmacy ambassador and community liaison.”
