Mark Griffiths to chair Community Pharmacy Wales

Community Pharmacy Wales (CPW) has elected Mark Griffiths to succeed Phil Parry as its new Chair. 

Born in Cwm, Ebbw Vale, Griffiths qualified in 1985 and worked in various managerial and locum positions. He purchased his first business in 1997 and started Cambrian Alliance Buying Group in 2000, along with five other pharmacists. He is currently the PSNC member for Wales and attends pharmacy development group meetings. He has previously sat on Merthyr Local Health Board.  

The post of Vice-Chair has gone to Sam Fisher. A graduate of the Welsh School of Pharmacy, Fisher has held several field based operational roles including Area Manager and Regional Operations Manager, then latterly central roles responsible for leading key business transformation initiatives.



Her current role is Head of Pharmacy Affairs for Celesio UK. As well as being a main board member of CCA, Sam is also member of the Pharmaceutical Services Negotiating Committee (PSNC)and the PSNC Funding and Contract Sub-Committee, and is also a member of the Welsh Pharmaceutical Committee.
