New conference addresses pharmacy's travel clinic potential

The first Pharmacist Travel Health Conference is to take place in London on 3-4 November, organised by Voyager Medical in collaboration with UCL, The International Society of Travel Medicine and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons.

The first day of the conference, which is free to attend, will focus on how to start a travel clinic, and will look at how pharmacies can use digital tools to promote their business.

The second day is for newcomers and veteran pharmacy travel clinicians and is entitled “Advanced Travel Health”, Voyager Medical says. The day consists of a series of lectures and workshops covering all updates that pharmacist need to be aware of to run a clinically and legally compliant travel clinic.

ICP columnist and Pharmacy Mentor founder Saam Ali said: "It's high time that pharmacists got together and shared best practice about running a travel clinic and how to move forward in digital health. This conference at UCL gives us a great platform to pool our expertise and figure out what works for the future of the profession."
