Community pharmacy clinical audit published
NHS England has published the paperwork for the 2018-19 national community pharmacy clinical audit, which all contractors must complete by the end of the year.
The audit looks at advising people with diabetes on the importance of receiving their annual seasonal flu vaccination. It has been timed to take place during flu season so that people with diabetes can be encouraged to have their jab if they have not done so already and so pharmacy teams can offer to vaccinate them if the service is available in their pharmacy.
PSNC says the audit will normally have to be conducted over a one-week period between now and the first half of December. Data collection must be completed by 16 December, with audit data submitted to NHS England’s web-based portal by midnight on 30 December 2018.
