ICP consultant editor Doug Simpson celebrated his 50-year career in the pharmacy press at a lunch with current and former colleagues on November 17. Doug (pictured centre) spoke warmly of the many friends he had made during his career, and the moments of good luck and interesting events that had helped to shape it.

Doug described how he got started in journalism, editing Sunderland Technical College’s student union newspaper, how he rose to become editor of The Pharmaceutical Journal, and most recently how he enjoyed following the challenges facing the independent sector on ICP magazine.
