Gaviscon tips for those that overindulge over Xmas

Gaviscon is distributing tips and advice for those with digestive difficulties caused by festive overindulgence through UK independent pharmacies.

The tips will be shared in the run-up to Christmas via branded POS displays including tear-off slips, with the displays arriving in-store from 16 November.

Consumers will be invited to share these tips with their family and friends on Facebook. By sharing their tip, they will be entered into a free prize draw to win a luxury dining experience at a Michelin star restaurant.

Consumers will also be encouraged to visit the Gaviscon website for more advice and tips on avoiding the uncomfortable symptoms of heartburn and indigestion and enjoying Christmas treats to the full.

Gaviscon Senior Brand Manager Anne Dawson comments: “Our upcoming Christmas activation positions Gaviscon as the expert in treating symptoms of heartburn and indigestion this festive period and allows us to engage with our consumers across a variety of touchpoints. The campaign provides the opportunity for pharmacists to start conversations with patients about their digestive health in a fun, yet meaningful way, as well as expressing the brand’s more light-hearted side through humorous, seasonal messaging.”

The campaign will be supported by PR activity targeting consumer media titles, with the dual aim of driving footfall into pharmacy during this key time of year and helping people to avoid symptoms of heartburn and indigestion.
