Pharmacist Support provided over 3,500 acts of support in 2015, 88 per cent more than in 2014.

In its annual review for 2015, the charity revealed that it responded to over 800 enquiries and provided over £185,000 in financial assistance to those experiencing hardship. It gave specialist advice in debt, benefits and employment law to 222 individuals, and delivered over 2,000 wellbeing acts of support via workshops,
e-therapy programmes and webinars. Pharmacist Support also provided £34,000 in student bursaries and made over 300 calls via its Listening Friends helpline.

Enquiries were up by 11 per cent on the previous year, with 45 per cent from pharmacists, 30 per cent from pre- registration trainees and 12 per cent from students. A survey found that 78 per cent of respondents were ‘very satisfied’ with the response to their enquiry.
