Alphega announces IT support

Alphega Pharmacy announced an “ambitious” technology support package for members, comprising an ordering facility on its tablet device, online pharmacy locator, personalised web pages and appointment requesting system, at its UK conference on May 12.

General manager of Alphega Pharmacy UK Sue Moore (pictured) told 300 delegates: “Alphega Pharmacy works hard to be one step ahead of the current climate and to make sure our members are prepared for future challenges ahead. Getting to where pharmacy needs to be in the new NHS is about getting the fundamentals right – having the right team in place, with the right attitudes and the right equipment.”
Conference keynote speaker Mark Voce, GPhC head of inspection, explained the new regulatory scheme for pharmacy premises. And 10 regional members were presented with awards for achieving excellence. They all received a trophy and cheque for £1,000 and will be entered into the Alphega Pharmacy National Award scheme.
